What would have happened this weekend is the train wreck known as Mr. Accident, a movie by Yahoo Serious. Sadly, it's been bumped back to March 24, 2000. Stay tuned to this station for more information.

Speaking of serious, keep in mind that Steven Wright will be at the Auditorium Center on October 20 (also known as next week, for those in the now).

• Fight Club: Somewhat an amusing concept, but I'd rather see Brad Pitt get beat up for free.
• The Story of Us: Rob Reiner makes us laugh and cry like the puppets we were when we saw When Harry Met Sally and Misery.

Thursday

Karaoke at Drinks by Mary Dawn (535 S. Clinton.) I went last week and it was a blast. I just plopped my arse down with Meghan, Marianne, Rob, and Steve and watched them sing. Oh, and took pictures too.

I didn't confirm this, but Buddhahood apparently regularly plays on Thursdays now at Red (171 St. Paul.)

Christine Lavin will be at the 12 Corners Presbyterian Church (1200 Winton Rd S.) sponsored by the 12 Corners Coffee House on October 17, 7pm--free, but tickets required. I tried calling the number in Freetime (654-6289) and got a FAX machine then I tried again and got an answering machine that said to call 654-6289. I called that number and got an answering machine that said to call 654-6289. Six hours later I gave up. I must have called all the 654-6289's in Rochester.

This just in! (no really, I was just about to head over to watch South Park when I got a call from Greg at the coffeehouse.) I reserved 5 tickets, amendable up or down later. E-mail me, beg in person, or be among the Chosen Ones(TM) to get some.

Monday

Yet another "Camera Rochester" meeting is today at Atonement Lutheran Church at 1900 Westfall Road from 7:30 to 9:30. Mid-month weeks are lectures (this being...uhh... I don't remember) and first-week meetings host a photo contest among the members.

Tuesday

Token Joe's at 150 Andrews Street has been sold to new management so no more comedy there. I gathered it was going to be turned into some kind of modern club which would be amusing to have open mic comedy at.

Be sure to check out the PBA Tour Match Play at the Roseland Bowl (4357 Recreation Dr., Canandaigua) 9am to 2pm then 3pm until ??? (as they say in the biz.)

Wednesday

Just South Park at Rohrbach's at 315 Gregory Street. Showtime at 10:00. Minor prodding of the staff may be required.

Ha...just kidding. Steven Wright will be serving up snifters of powdered water and unincluded batteries tonight at the Auditorium Center (875 Main St E or at East & Gibbs.) Be sure to get tickets in advance (222-5000.)
