    Thursday

Karaoke at Drinks by Mary Dawn (535 S. Clinton) starts around 10:15 p.m. but it fills up quick. Meghan, Marianne, Rob, and Steve still show up to show off.

Buddhahood is at Red (171 St. Paul.)

    Friday!

Karaoke at Boston Brew Company (251 Exchange Blvd.) is a new extension of the symbiotic relationship between Sugar Bear, Meghan, Marianne, Rob, and Steve. Rob & Steve weren't there last week but I assume they'll show sometime.

    Saturday

165 State Street. Noon. O'Bagelo's. Noon. 165 State Street.

Ian offered me this tidbit: Treehouse Cinema's Movie Night. It's every Saturday night at 9:30 p.m. at The Treehouse (also known as The Strong-Todd Carriage House at 693 East Ave. or That Carriage House Behind The Baha'i Center where Carl lives.) (That last bit may help some of you; I don't know Carl but he apparently lives in "front" of The Treehouse.) Popcorn, drinks, and critically acclaimed motion picture provided. You bring a friend.

This week it's The Big One where documentary filmmaker/activist Michael Moore elbows his way into Corporate America's headquarters to ask CEOs about layoffs during times of record profits. Very funny as well as eye-opening.

    Sunday

Just a side note first ... for those who missed the blipverts on the Simpsons last week, here they are:

First, the marquee on the Springfield Googolplex read:

      31. MY DINNER WITH JAR JAR 34. SHAKESPEARE IN HEAT
      32. MARS NEEDS TOWELS 35. FACEPUNCHER IV
      33. THAT 70'S MOVIE 36. DAS BOOTY CALL

Second, the credits to "The Poke of Zorro" were:

    Zorro . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .John Byner
    Robot Zorro . . . . . . . . . . . . .Shawn Wayans
    Mrs. Zorro . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Rita Rudner
Scarlet Pimpernel . . . Curtis "Booger" Armstrong
    King Arthur . . . . . . . . . . . . Cheech Marin
    Man In The Iron Mask . . . . . . . . Gina Gershon
    Wise Nun . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Posh Spice
    Stupid Nun . . . . . . . . . . . . . Meryl Streep
    Time Traveler #1 . . . . . . . . . . . Stone Cold
                                         Steve Austin
    Orangutan At Dance . . . . . . . . . . "Puddles"
    Gay-Seeming Prince . . . . . . . . Spalding Gray
    Man Beating Mule . . . . . . . . . . Eric Roberts
    Mule Beating Man . . . . . . . . . . . . . "Gus"
    Hiccupping Narrator . . . . . . . . . . . . Pele
    President Van Buren . . . . . . . . .Robert Evans
    Corky . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Anthony Hopkins
    Voice of Magic Taco . . . . . . James Earl Jones

The Producers Would Like to Thank:

    Film Board of Canada
    The Philadelphia Flyers
    The Makers Of Whip Balm
    Mr. Robert Guccione
    The Teamsters Pension Fund
    AAABest Bail Bonds
Mr. And Mrs. Curtis "Booger" Armstrong

    Tonights FOX animation block is:

King of the Hill - A Beer Can Named Desire: Hank must throw a football through a hoop to win $1 million during halftime at a Dallas Cowboys game.

Simpsons - Hello Gutter, Hello Fadder: After Homer becomes a celebrity by bowling a perfect game, he guest stars on "The Springfield Squares." This weeks guest voices are Penn & Teller, Nancy O'Dell, Pat O'Brien and Ron Howard.

Futurama - Fry and the Slurm Factory: Fry tours a soft-drink factory and is disgusted when he discovers what Slurm's secret ingredient is.

The mention last week of Seamus Kennedy being related to Snmnmnm was a mistake on my part--the lead singer of Snmnmnm is Seamus Kenney. Seamus Kennedy is a Celtic singer who'll be at Milestones (170 East Avenue.)

    Monday

Today's "Camera Rochester" meeting (Atonement Lutheran Church at 1900 Westfall Road) runs from 7:30 to 9:30. This is the contest for all the 1999 winners. The winners of this will get their awards at the holiday dinner on the sixth of December.

    Echoing the will of silence.

    Tuesday

I've been going the last few weeks to Java's (16 Gibb Street) for open mic poetry read each Tuesday. Despite the low turnout of poets & readers, the crew tends to keep it all quite entertaining. Last week they didn't even do it...yikes! Will it continue? Tune in Tuesday to find out.

A more sure bet is Sarah Slean, the light-alternative rocker from Canada at Milestones (170 East Avenue.) Tickets in advance and stuff, I guess.

    Wednesday

Once again, just South Park at Rohrbach's at 315 Gregory Street. Showtime at 10:00. Another new episode (last week I had this weeks description) ... Starvin' Marvin in Space: Starvin' Martin returns with a spaceship and enlists Cartman and the others to help him feed his fellow Ethiopians.

    One Word: Plastics
    What's your favorite plastic?

    1. Polyethylene Terephthalate (PETE)
    2. High Density Polyetyhlene (HDPE)
    3. Vinyl/Polyvinyl Chloride (V)
    4. Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE)
    5. Polypropylene (PP)
