Pre-weekend weekend lunch invite 8: Jason Takes Manhattan

Once again, it's another Thursday and time for another classic update to the bagel shop lunch plans...

Ok, so it's not really that exciting. Last week I didn't update the sequel number because, of course, I wasn't there two weeks ago. That, or I forgot...I don't remember.

I'd like to see either "Analyze This," "The Mod Squad," or "The Matrix," but instead I'll be heading over to an absurdly crowded Margarita's around 1:30. Tony, the bartender, got hold of some editing room footage of Phantom Menace which he'll be showing on their projection TV at 2:00. Sorry in advance, but he said I couldn't bring more people because he doesn't have that much space.

Also, I've got last Sunday's Simpson's (Homer becomes a trucker) and Futurama along with some Sifl & Olly and a Dilbert re-run (the Team Lena episode) among other things. We can all regroup at my house at later in the afternoon to watch that.

The part that isn't new follows:

For the last few weeks I've been having lunch at O'Bagelo's on State Street on Saturday at 11:30. The same people who have been going have been coming back, so I guess I'm not on crack about the food being good.

I'll be there at 11:30. For the few of you who haven't been there, it's on State Street between the Federal Building and Frontier Field. It's south of 490 and north of Andrews on the west side of the street (i.e., across from West Group on the east side.) Their sign is flush against the building so it's a little hard to see unless you're looking. They've got a variety of sandwiches on bagels, fresh bread or fresh rolls, and some soups. There are some veggie stuff too, but sometimes they don't make the fried eggplant very early. Last week John had some eggplant prepared, so it's kind of random.

Anyhow, RSVP, call, e-mail, or just show up.
