Pre-weekend weekend lunch invite 23. Rot-13 J for June, Jayce

For those of you who didn't read too far down last week and also didn't for some reason hear about this, I'm throwing a party on June 26 starting around 3:00. Although this doesn't preclude the Saturday lunch, it will for me so I'm going on Friday instead because I won't be doing that pesky "work" thing.

As for the other, less important days, there's "Balloons Over Batavia: An Introduction to Mass Transit," Rochester Harborfest, and "Wine, Jazz and Swingfest" (is it [Wine, Jazz, Swing]fest or wine and jazz at the swingfest?...Deep Thoughts, eh) at High Falls Center on Friday. Also is "Spider Baby," another Mondo-series movie at the Dryden at 8:00 on Friday.

Saturday is the Seneca Falls Canal Fest: An Introduction to Mass Transit...oh, I used that one already. Nonetheless, it's unimportant because I'm having a party.

Sunday brings the Community Garage Sale to the Rochester Public Market. Who knows what treasures you'll find by going somewhere else...

Lastly, get over to Eastman house's "Eastman House Festival Movie" page at http://www.eastman.org/festmov.html and vote so we don't have to watch Citizen Kane on July 10. Unfortunately, they chose movies to pick from which don't really fit well, except for the shoe-in "Citizen Kane"--I would recommend either "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" or "Raiders of the Lost Ark."

The part that isn't very new follows:

For the last few months I've been having lunch at O'Bagelo's on State Street on Saturday at 11:30. The same people who have been going have been coming back, so I guess I'm not on crack about the food being good.

I'll be there at 11:30. For the few of you who haven't been there, it's on State Street between the Federal Building and Frontier Field. It's south of 490 and north of Andrews on the west side of the street (i.e., across from West Group on the east side.) Their sign is flush against the building so it's a little hard to see unless you're looking. They've got a variety of sandwiches on bagels, fresh bread or fresh rolls, and some soups. There are some veggie stuff too, but sometimes they don't make the fried eggplant very early.

Anyhow, RSVP, call, e-mail, or just show up.
