The Dryden Theater at George Eastman House (900 East Ave.) will be showing The Fog starting early at 7 p.m., and followed at 9 p.m. by Halloween III: Season of the Witch. Actor Tom Atkins will be on hand to discuss both films. In the former, "a Northern California coastal town is besieged by vengeful ghosts 100 years after a legendary shipwreck", and the latter, "a cadaverous toy manufacturer (Dan O'Herlihy) hatches an evil plot to destroy trick-or-treating children through the manufacturing of diabolical rubber masks". Note that Halloween 3 is a strange film in the Halloween series that has nothing to do with the Michael Meyers character.

The Dryden Theater at George Eastman House (900 East Ave.) will be showing The Monster Squad starting early at 7 p.m. followed at 8:45 p.m. by Night of the Creeps with director Fred Dekker, and actor Tom Atkins on hand to discuss both films. If you recall the 1980's, The Monster Squad has a character who says, "wolfman's got nards!" which is about all you need to know. In Night of the Creeps, "world-weary Detective Cameron (Tom Atkins in his quintessential role) tries to solve a series of college campus murders involving walking corpses, wormlike alien creatures that take over your body, and a resurrected ax murderer."

The Beast Pageant
I helped work on this film by Albert Birney and Jon Moses which is due to be screened at the Dryden in September. However, the filmmakers need more money to finish post-production, and have set up a Kickstarter Page for The Beast Pageant for supporters to commit money to the project. If they don't receive full funding by July 22, the project gets canceled.
